What will happen on 12/21/2012? This is a question which is on minds of many people. The reason why this date holds a special significance is because this date coincides with the end of the Mayan calendar and thus, according to Mayan calendar, 12/21/2012 is considered as the doomsday. Most people believe that a solar storm is likely to occur on this date which will have devastating effect on the entire universe and life will extinct on earth. The solar storm will be accompanied by heavy rain, snow, floods and volcanic eruptions thereby, making it almost impossible for anyone to survive.

The majority of the people are labeling this prediction as a religious dogma, but still this theory has got many believers. Scientists and researchers have added more fuel to the fire by claiming that some planetary and magnetic changes are going to take place in the very same year. However, this theory of Mayans is supported by only few cultures and majority of other cultures are not paying much attention to the Mayan prediction. Even though almost all the religions talk about world coming to an end followed by a judgment day or doomsday, however unlike Mayans, majority of them have not given a specific date.
