The situation regarding 2012 is that the Mayan long count calendar which is thousands of years old will end and with it many people believe the world will end as well. Now there are numerous theories to this situation, ranging anywhere from polar shifts, planetary collisions & extreme natural disasters that would wipe out the entire population on earth.

Why Should I Care About the Mayan Calendar?

If the Mayan calendar is to be believed, then some sort of a doomsday is approaching and it is very near. Today, almost every one of us is busy in our hectic daily schedules and thus, we pay much less attention to such theories, especially those which lack total scientific proof. However, not everyone feels the same way, there are many who believe in supernatural events and thus, are concerned about their fate in 2012.
